Is a 3 day fast good for your liver?

I've been thinking about doing a 3-day fast to detox. I heard it can be good for your liver, but I'm not sure. Is a 3-day fast really beneficial for liver health, or is it just a fad?

Three days of fasting is quite extreme and might actually stress your liver instead of helping it. I track my fasting windows on an app and usually stick to 16:8 intermittent fasting, which is much safer and easier to sustain. Better to consult a clinical dietitian before doing anything so drastic.

I tried a long fast once thinking it would detox my liver, but it just made me extremely weak and acidic. Our liver is already designed to detoxify our body on its own if we just eat clean. Skip the extreme fasting and focus on cutting out alcohol, sugar, and oily food for a few weeks instead.

Yaar, 3 days is way too long to go without eating! Don't stress too much about these detox trends you see online. Just eat simple home-cooked food like dal chawal, drink water, and give your body some rest. Your liver will be perfectly happy with that.

Look, don't go for these extreme diets, they can do more harm than good. A three-day fast is quite intense and can cause your blood sugar to drop dangerously. Just eat light ghar ka khana, drink coconut water, and if you have any liver concerns, get a simple LFT blood test done first.

I totally get it, we all want a quick way to clean our system and feel healthy. But a 3-day fast can be really harsh on your stomach and energy levels. It is much better to take slow, gentle steps like having green tea and sleeping on time.

Honestly, I can't even imagine fasting for 3 hours, let alone 3 days! My liver would probably go into shock from missing all the butter chicken. Jokes aside, starving yourself isn't necessary for liver health, just limit the heavy weekend partying and oily food.
