Is a 104 degree fever bad?

My wife has a 104 degree fever and is very disoriented. This feels extremely serious to me. Is this an emergency situation?

I can't say what you should do medically, but when I had a 104 fever last year, it turned out to be dengue. I had to go to the hospital immediately because I felt extremely weak. Please be safe and consult a professional.

Bro, 104 is extremely high. I had this once and I was literally hallucinating and shivering like crazy. Don't wait around or ask on forums, just go to an emergency room or a doctor right now.

A fever of 104 indicates a very intense physical crisis where the body's vital force is overwhelmed. Do not try any breathing exercises or home cures now. Rest in a cool room, use cold compresses, and seek immediate medical help.

Hey, please don't panic, but 104 is a very high fever that needs immediate medical attention. Take a paracetamol right away, do cold sponging to bring the heat down, and let's get you to a doctor. I'm sure you will be fine once the doctor checks you.

A 104 fever? That is basically engine overheating. Honestly, my body would just shut down at that point. Don't try to be a hero, get to a doctor or hospital immediately before you cook your brains!

At 104 fever, you must act fast. Do continuous cold sponging with normal tap water to bring the temperature down, and give a paracetamol. Once the temperature drops a bit, take the patient to a doctor immediately.

In my sixty years, I have seen such high fevers occasionally during bad infections. While it is serious, please do not panic. Sit quietly, do cold water sponging on your forehead and underarms immediately, and have someone take you to a clinic.
