Is 99.9 a fever in kids?

My 8-year-old son's temperature is 99.9. My husband says it's not a fever yet, but I'm not sure. Is 99.9 considered a fever in kids?

Yes, 99.9 is a mild fever for a child. Just keep them comfortable, give them water, and they will be fine.

Please monitor this closely. I once ignored a 99.9 temperature in my son thinking it was just heat, but it shot up to 103 overnight. Get a pediatrician's advice if it persists.

I was researching this for my cousin's toddler. Turns out 99.9 is a borderline fever in kids, mostly harmless, but good to keep an eye on so it doesn't spike.

My little brother gets 99.9 whenever he plays outside too much in the afternoon. It is mostly just heat, not a heavy fever, so don't worry.

With kids, even 99.9 makes us parents run around like crazy. It is just a low-grade fever, so keep them quiet for a day, which is the real difficult task!

Kids get warm very easily, haan na. 99.9 is just a minor fever. Just keep checking their temperature and give them thoda coconut water.

My son had 99.9 temperature two days ago. We didn't give paracetamol, just kept him in thin cotton clothes and made sure he stayed hydrated, and he was back to normal yesterday.

Haan, baccho mein 99.9 mild fever hota hai. Par tension mat lo na, normal body heat bhi ho sakti hai. Give them some liquid and let them rest.

It is a very mild fever. Just give them some comforting khichdi or warm soup, keep them away from heavy foods, and let them rest.
