Is 8mm kidney stone dangerous?

My brother just found out he has an 8mm kidney stone. We're all a bit worried, as it sounds like a significant size. Is an 8mm kidney stone generally considered dangerous?

Hey, it is not necessarily dangerous or life-threatening, but 8mm is definitely big enough to cause a lot of pain if it blocks the passage. My cousin had a similar size and her doctor managed it with proper medications. Just keep drinking water and don't panic!

I still remember the sleepless nights and the constant fear of when the next wave of pain would hit me. It is incredibly stressful, but please know that modern treatments are very advanced. You will get through this, just keep your doctor in the loop.

It is completely natural to feel scared when you hear '8mm stone', I would have panicked too! Please try to take deep breaths. While it needs medical attention to avoid any blockage or infection, it is a very common issue that doctors solve every single day.

Listen to me, don't read too many horror stories online. An 8mm stone is treatable, and you are going to be absolutely fine. Just book an appointment with a good urologist tomorrow, keep a bottle of water next to you, and let them handle it.

An 8mm stone can set you back on your training, so don't try to sweat it out or lift heavy while in pain. Focus on hydration and pause your supplements if your doctor advises. Once the doctor clears it, you can easily get back to your routine.

Please don't worry too much. It can be painful, but with the right doctor's guidance, it will be treated safely. Just focus on resting well.
