Is 86 a good blood sugar level for a diabetic?

My father has diabetes and we're always monitoring his blood sugar. This morning it was 86, which felt a bit low to me. Is 86 a good blood sugar level for someone with diabetes, or should we be concerned?

Bhai, 86 toh bahut accha number hai, bilkul chinta mat karo. Bas dhyan rakhna ki sugar achanak se aur neeche na gir jaye, kamzori lagne par thoda kuch kha lena. Bhagwan sab theek rakhenge.

My father always says that keeping it around this range is very good, but my doctor advised that it depends on when you checked it. If it is fasting, 86 is beautiful. Just check with your doctor once to see what your personal target range should be.

I remember the constant anxiety of checking my readings daily, feeling like a failure if it went up or down even slightly. Seeing 86 should give you some peace of mind, it really is a good stable reading. You are doing a great job managing this.

I have lived with diabetes for 25 years now, beta. A reading of 86 fasting is excellent and shows your discipline. Keep up with your walks and simple home food, you are on the right track.

My alarm rang at 5 AM for my sugar check and seeing a number like 86 is the only thing that kept me from throwing the machine. Honestly, it's a solid number, sleep peacefully!

While 86 is generally considered normal, please don't take risks if you are on heavy diabetes medication. Sometimes sugar can drop fast from here, leading to hypoglycemia. Keep checking regularly and discuss this reading with your physician.
