Is 7 hrs of sleep enough?

My work schedule is quite demanding, and I typically manage to get about 7 hours of sleep on most nights. I'm wondering if this duration is generally considered sufficient for overall health, or if I should aim for more?

Honestly, for a normal working routine, 7 hours is quite decent and doable. You don't need fancy sleep trackers or expensive clinics to fix this. Just try to keep a fixed time to sleep and wake up, and make sure your room is dark and quiet.

Please don't take sleep lightly like I did for years, thinking my exhaustion was normal till it led to major BP issues. If you feel tired even after 7 hours of sleep, get a proper blood test done. Sometimes basic deficiencies or underlying stress can ruin your sleep quality without you knowing.

Don't stress too much about the exact number of hours. If you are waking up fresh and can go through the day without feeling exhausted, then 7 hours is perfectly fine for your body. Just listen to your body and rest when you feel tired, okay?

Actually, 7 hours is luxury for most of us living in Pune and Mumbai, yaar! But on a serious note, it really depends on how you feel the next day. If you have energy for work and gym, then chill, 7 hours is quite sorted.

Medically, the general recommendation for adults is 7 to 9 hours, so 7 is definitely on the acceptable side. Just watch out for signs like afternoon sluggishness or needing too much coffee to survive. If those aren't issues, your current routine is doing its job well.

I used to survive on 5 hours and felt terrible, but moving to 7 hours of consistent sleep changed my life. The trick is to stop using your mobile phone at least 30 minutes before sleeping. Once you do that, those 7 hours will feel much deeper and more refreshing.

It can be enough, but your dinner choices also play a big role in how well you sleep during those 7 hours. Try to have a light, vegetarian dinner at least two hours before hitting the bed. Heavy, oily foods right before sleeping will keep your digestion active and spoil your rest.
