Is 4mm kidney stone large?

My recent ultrasound showed a 4mm kidney stone. The doctor said it's small, but my father had kidney stone problems and it always seemed serious. Is a 4mm kidney stone large, or is it manageable without much intervention? Thoda tension ho raha hai.

I just dealt with a 4mm stone last month. It is actually considered small and usually passes on its own with lots of fluids. But if you get sudden, unbearable back pain or start vomiting, don't wait at home, go to the emergency room immediately.

A 4mm stone is generally small enough to pass. Once my doctor cleared me, I kept active by doing regular brisk walks and drinking almost 3-4 liters of water daily to help flush it out. Just make sure you get your doctor's okay before doing any heavy exercise.

I also got super worried when I had a similar report and spent hours googling, which made my anxiety worse. Honestly, 4mm is on the smaller side and highly likely to pass with water. Just follow your doctor's advice and don't read too many scary stories online.

A 4mm stone is not very big, so don't be scared. Drink plenty of fresh coconut water and warm water throughout the day, as these old remedies help clear the system. But make sure to keep in touch with your doctor for regular scans.

I completely understand how terrifying it feels when you see the word 'stone' on your ultrasound report. I was sleepless for nights thinking I would need surgery, but my doctor reassured me 4mm is small and can pass with medication. Try to take deep breaths, it is very manageable.

No, 4mm is generally considered small and doctors usually don't recommend surgery for this size. Just drink plenty of water and rest well. You will be absolutely fine.
