Is 1mg clonazepam a high dose for sleep?

My doctor prescribed Clonazepam for my sleep issues. I'm on 1mg, and I feel quite groggy in the morning. Is 1mg considered a high dose for sleep, or is this normal?

It's completely normal to be concerned about medication dosages, especially for sleep. I've had similar worries about my anxiety meds. Clonazepam is a strong medicine, and 1mg can be a significant dose for some, particularly if you're not used to it. Please speak to your doctor about this; they can explain if it's appropriate for your situation.

Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine, so it's a potent medication. For sleep, 1mg can be considered a moderate to high dose, especially for initial treatment or for elderly patients. It's often started at lower doses like 0.25mg or 0.5mg. Always take exactly as prescribed by your doctor and don't adjust it yourself.

I was just reading about this! Clonazepam is usually for anxiety, but docs sometimes prescribe it off-label for sleep. 1mg sounds like a decent amount though, maybe not super low. Did your doctor say why they picked that dose for you?

Bhai, clonazepam is not just for sleep, it's for anxiety and seizures also. 1mg is not a small dose, especially if you're new to it. Don't mess with these kinds of medicines on your own. Go back to your doctor and ask all your questions, make sure you understand why they prescribed that dose.

Um, I don't know much about this medicine, but 1mg sounds like a lot for sleep, especially if it's a strong one. Is it for long-term use or just for a short time? I hope you're okay.

Listen to me, don't take chances with medicines like this. I once ignored a doctor's advice and then had problems. Clonazepam can be habit-forming and has side effects. If you have any doubt about the dose, just call your doctor again or get a second opinion. It's your health, be careful.
