Is 109 degree fever possible?

A friend's child apparently had a fever of 109 and I found it quite unbelievable. Is a 109 degree fever even possible, or were they mistaken?

Technically, very high fevers are possible, but 109F is extremely dangerous and could be life-threatening. If someone ever has a fever this high, they need immediate medical attention. It's always best to consult a doctor for any fever above 103F.

109 degrees? That sounds really alarming, beta. Normal human body can't sustain such high temp for long. Anything above 104F is a medical emergency. Please don't wait if someone has such a high fever, go to hospital immediately.

Absolutely, it's possible, but it's a critical medical emergency. The human body can't handle such high temperatures without severe consequences. Any fever crossing 105F needs immediate professional medical intervention. Don't delay.

Please, if this is for someone you know, take it seriously! I once thought a fever would go down on its own and it got much worse. 109F is an extreme emergency, doctors must be consulted immediately. Don't make my mistake of waiting.

Dude, 109 is like, super high, not just 'possible' but dangerous. If someone actually has that, no time to stress, just rush to the hospital ASAP. Like, seriously, don't even think twice.
