Is 100.0 a fever in adults?

My thermometer showed 100.0°F, and I'm an adult. I'm debating whether to take a painkiller. Is 100.0 a fever in adults, or is it still a normal variation?

My mother always tells us that anything above 99.0F is a sign our body is fighting something. So 100.0F is definitely a mild fever. But for adults, sometimes it can just be temporary. If it persists or you feel unwell, please consult your doctor.

Oh, really? I always thought fever starts at 101F. So 100.0F is already a fever? Does that mean we need to take medicine or just rest?

As a working professional, I can't afford to be down with a full-blown fever. 100.0F is a signal to slow down, hydrate, and take some paracetamol if needed. If it lasts more than a day or two, then it's time for a quick doctor's visit, no time to waste.

Haan ji, 100.0F ko bukhar hi bolenge. It's not high, but it's not normal either. Apna khayal rakho, garam paani piyo. Zyada badhe toh seedhe doctor ke paas jao.

I had 100.0F a few months back and I felt so anxious thinking what it could be. Did anyone else feel really rundown or just a bit warm with this temperature? I was getting worried about what it could escalate to.

Yes, 100.0F is a low fever. For us, ghar pe hum log pehle toh rest lete hain, paani zyada peete hain, aur agar thoda body ache ho toh ek tablet le lete hain. Agar phir bhi na utre toh doctor ke paas jaana hi padta hai, bina wajah tension kyon lena.
