How you know if you had a stroke?
My father had a mild stroke a few years ago, and we almost didn't realize it until later. I want to be more aware for my family. How do you know if someone has had a stroke?

You need to know the FAST acronym, it's critical. Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call emergency. My uncle had one, and these were the clear signs. Don't waste even a minute if you see these symptoms in anyone. Immediate medical help is the only way.
This is something that always worries me. I heard about sudden numbness, vision changes, or confusion. Has anyone here experienced something similar or seen someone who did? How sudden were the symptoms, really? Sometimes I feel a bit dizzy and then I start to overthink.
Ho na, a stroke is very serious. Usually, signs come on very suddenly. Like, ek side ka face thoda neeche ho jaana, ya haath kamzor ho jaana, ya bolne mein problem hona. Confusion bhi ho sakti hai. These are all immediate red flags, haan na? Don't ignore them, please.
Dekho, stroke ke signs toh bahut clear hote hain, haan. Face drooping, matlab ek taraf ka chehra neeche latak jaana. Ek haath ya pair mein kamzori, utha na paana. Aur speech problem, jaise bolne mein mushkil ya samjh na aana. Agar yeh sab ho, toh turant hospital bhaago, na.
It's not always obvious, and sometimes symptoms can be subtle at first. My aunt had a 'mini-stroke' first, and we didn't realize until much later. Then she had a major one. Any sudden weakness, vision issues, or severe headache needs a doctor's visit IMMEDIATELY. Don't wait. Complications can be severe if treatment is delayed.
This is a serious query, definitely not something to self-diagnose. Key signs are usually sudden weakness or numbness on one side of the body, sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding speech, or sudden vision problems. If you or anyone you know experiences these, please seek emergency medical attention right away. Better safe than sorry, always.
