How to wash manta sleep mask?

I bought a Manta sleep mask recently, and it's super comfortable. But now I need to clean it. What's the proper way to wash a Manta sleep mask without damaging it?

I have been using eye masks for sleeping for many years now to block the light. The best way is to wash it gently with your hands using a very mild liquid detergent or baby shampoo. Do not wring it too hard, just let it air dry naturally in the shade to maintain its shape.

Make sure you wash your sleep mask regularly, at least once a week. I ignored washing mine for months and ended up getting a severe eye infection and painful stye. Please protect your eyes, and if you have any redness or itching, see an eye doctor immediately instead of ignoring it.

I totally get it, these premium sleep masks are expensive and you don't want to ruin the soft fabric or the foam padding. Just soak it in lukewarm water with a tiny bit of mild soap for 10 minutes. Rinse it very gently with clean water and lay it flat on a dry towel to dry.

I was so worried that machine washing would ruin the foam of my expensive Manta mask. But I found out it is actually quite durable if you use the mesh laundry bag they provide and run a gentle cold cycle. Just don't put it in the dryer, air drying is the key and it comes out like new.

My ophthalmologist at a top eye hospital strictly advised me to wash any eye mask regularly to avoid bacterial buildup. If you are prone to eye allergies, ask your doctor which washing agent is safest. I use a fragrance-free baby wash to clean mine, and it works perfectly.

It is quite simple to wash the Manta mask. Detach the eye cups first and wash them separately by hand with a gentle soap. Let them air dry completely before using them again for a peaceful sleep.
