How to wake up from sleep paralysis?

I've started experiencing sleep paralysis quite frequently, and it's a very unsettling feeling. I know I'm awake but can't move. Does anyone have advice on how to quickly wake up from sleep paralysis when it happens?

I agree with focusing on small movements. Trying to wiggle your big toe or fingers is the best way to break the paralysis.

I can only share what works for me. I try to blink my eyes very fast and relax my body completely instead of fighting the heavy feeling. It usually passes within seconds.

I found that maintaining regular sleep timings and a brisk evening walk helped reduce my sleep paralysis episodes. When it happens, focus on slow, controlled breathing.

Instead of worrying about expensive sleep studies immediately, try correcting your sleep posture first. If you experience this, try focusing all energy on blinking to snap out of it.

Sleeping flat on your back often causes this trouble. Try to sleep on your side and drink a glass of warm water before bed to keep yourself calm.

Take care of your peace of mind and stay positive. When this happens, breathe gently and focus your thoughts on safety; your body will release itself naturally.
