How to use vanilla extract for tooth pain?

My tooth is aching terribly and I heard vanilla extract can help with the pain temporarily. How can I use vanilla extract for tooth pain, like do I just apply it directly or mix it with something? Need some quick relief before I can see a dentist.

You can dab a little pure vanilla extract on a cotton ball and hold it against the tooth. It gives temporary numbing because of the alcohol, but you must see a dentist.

Vanilla extract has a tiny bit of alcohol that helps numb the pain temporarily. But keep in mind, if you have a tooth infection, sweet things or artificial extracts can sometimes make the throbbing worse. Better to stick to warm salt water rinses until you can get it checked.

Let's be real, vanilla extract is for baking cakes, not for curing cavities. It might numb the area for ten minutes because of the alcohol content, but it won't fix a deep dental infection. Book an appointment with a dentist and get a proper filling or root canal.

I know how completely exhausting and draining severe tooth pain can be, especially at night when you can't sleep. Dabbing vanilla extract on cotton is a quick, soothing hack to get some temporary relief. Please be gentle with yourself and try to see a doctor as soon as morning comes.

If you are diabetic like me, you need to be very careful with tooth pain, as dental infections can spike your blood sugar levels. Avoid any vanilla extracts that have added sugars or syrups. Stick to plain clove oil for temporary relief and see your dentist immediately.

While vanilla extract contains eugenol-like properties and alcohol that can numb a sore tooth, it is only a temporary home remedy. It is always best to seek professional dental advice because ignoring a toothache can lead to a more severe infection in the gums.

As a nurse, I've seen people try all sorts of things for toothaches. Vanilla extract can help for an hour or two because of its mild antiseptic and numbing properties. But if there is any swelling on your face or fever, you need to go to a clinic for proper antibiotics.
