How to use red light therapy for eczema?

My eczema has been flaring up really badly, especially on my arms and legs. I've heard some buzz about red light therapy being good for skin conditions. How can I use red light therapy for eczema relief? Are there specific devices or protocols I should follow?

I have been so anxious about my eczema flare-ups and was terrified that red light might burn my sensitive skin. If you want to try it, please start with a very low exposure time, like just 2 minutes from a safe distance of 12 inches. It did help reduce my itching, but I constantly worry about overdoing it, so please go very slowly.

To use red light therapy for eczema, apply it to clean, dry skin without any thick moisturizers or steroid creams, as those can block the light. Use a 660nm red light device for about 10 minutes per session, three times a week. Always make sure to apply a gentle moisturizer immediately after to keep the barrier hydrated.

My eczema was so bad that I panicked when the red light made my skin feel slightly warm during the first session. But don't worry, that minor warmth is completely normal as the blood circulation increases! Within a week, the heavy redness and scaling on my hands started healing beautifully.

Honestly, eczema is so frustrating, especially during the winters when the skin gets incredibly dry. I have been using a handheld red light wand on my itchy patches for 5 minutes daily, and it has really helped calm the inflammation. It is a very practical, chemical-free way to soothe the itching at home.

Eczema flare-ups can be so painful and exhausting to deal with. Try using a gentle red light therapy device for a few minutes on the affected areas to help soothe the skin barrier naturally. I hope your skin finds some quick and lasting relief soon.

It feels like sitting under a disco light, but it actually does wonders for the itchy skin! Just sit back, wear your protective glasses, and let the red light work its magic for 10 minutes. At least it doesn't smell bad like those sticky coal tar ointments!
