How to use hydrogen peroxide for gum disease?

My dentist mentioned I have early signs of gum disease, and he told me to maintain good oral hygiene. I've heard about using hydrogen peroxide for gum health. Is it safe, and how should I use it as a mouthwash or something similar without causing damage?

I panicked so much when my gums started bleeding and I read about using hydrogen peroxide online. But honestly, it is very strong and can burn your mouth if not diluted correctly. Once I saw my dentist, I realized regular scaling was all I needed to fix it completely, so don't worry.

I always go to a proper dental hospital for any gum issues. When I asked my dentist about hydrogen peroxide, he strictly told me not to use drugstore chemicals at home without supervision. It is better to get a professional cleaning done.

Beta, gum disease is not something to treat with home chemicals. If you must use it, it has to be a very mild 3% solution diluted 50-50 with water, but please do not swallow it. A warm salt water rinse is much safer until you can see a doctor.

I agree with others here. Please don't risk using chemicals on your gums, a dentist visit is much safer.

I track all my health habits on my app and read a lot about oral hygiene. While some old blogs recommend 3% hydrogen peroxide as a rinse, modern dental guidelines suggest sticking to prescribed chlorhexidine mouthwashes for gum issues. It's safer and clinically proven.

Using such strong chemicals in the mouth is not wise, children. In our times, we used to gently massage the gums with a tiny bit of mustard oil and salt, or do triphala water rinses. But if the infection is deep, only a doctor can clean it properly.

I always prefer natural things like rinsing with warm water mixed with a pinch of turmeric and salt for mild gum swelling. Hydrogen peroxide seems too harsh for daily use. If your gums are bleeding a lot, please skip home remedies and see a dentist.

Please be careful with your teeth and gums. It's always best to let a professional doctor guide you rather than trying strong solutions at home.

Don't do DIY dental work with peroxide, you will end up damaging your tooth enamel. Just book an appointment with a dentist and get a professional cleaning. It's quick, safe, and saves you from bigger issues later.

Unless you want your mouth bubbling like a chemistry lab experiment, please avoid the hydrogen peroxide! Just go to a dentist, get the scaling done, and keep your teeth safe for eating biryani.

I totally get it, gum pain and bleeding can be so uncomfortable and we just want quick relief. But using hydrogen peroxide can sometimes irritate your delicate gums even more if the ratio is wrong. Please take care and try to book a quick dental checkup.

In my sixty years, I have seen many people try self-treatments for loose teeth and bad gums. These chemical rinses only give temporary relief but don't cure the root infection. Go to a good dentist, get the scaling done, and your gums will heal naturally.
