How to use hemp oil for pain?

My knees have been hurting a lot lately, especially after standing for long periods. A friend suggested using hemp oil for pain relief. How exactly do I apply it, and how often should I use it for best effect?

I researched this extensively for my mother's back pain. My doctor clarified that pure hemp seed oil only contains fatty acids and does not have CBD or THC, so it acts mainly as a moisturizing massage oil. He advised us not to expect any deep neurological pain relief from it and suggested proper physiotherapy instead.

I tried using hemp oil for my knee pain during the winter season. Honestly, while the warm massage felt comforting, the pain relief was very temporary, just like with any normal mustard or sesame oil. It's a nice, soothing routine, but please don't skip your main joint medications.

If you are using over-the-counter hemp oil, you can apply a few drops directly to the painful joint and massage it gently. Just make sure to read the label carefully to see if it's hemp seed oil or CBD oil, as the usage and legality in India differ. Never ingest it unless it is explicitly marked food-grade and recommended by a doctor.

Dealing with chronic pain can be so tough, I completely understand. Since I manage PCOS, I am always very careful about using new herbal oils on my skin as they can cause hormonal acne breakouts if they clog pores. If you want to try hemp oil, just apply a tiny amount first to see how your skin reacts.

Please don't fall for the online hype saying hemp oil is a cure-all for all types of body pain. Half of these products are just overpriced moisturizers with fancy packaging. Get a proper clinical diagnosis for your pain instead of relying on internet remedies.

When my sister was looking into hemp oil for her chronic muscle pain, we consulted a pain specialist at Care Hospital. He clearly told us that many products sold online are unregulated and may contain contaminants. Always ask your doctor clearly about certified brands before buying anything.

I tried massage with hemp oil for my neck strain because of long working hours. It smells a bit earthy and definitely relaxed me enough to fall asleep, which is a miracle for me. But the pain was still there the next morning, so don't expect it to replace your regular doctor's advice.
