How to treat underactive thyroid naturally?

I've been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, but I'm trying to explore natural remedies along with my prescribed medication. Are there any dietary changes, herbs, or lifestyle adjustments that can naturally support my thyroid function?

While medication is often essential for thyroid, a good fitness routine and balanced diet can really help support your body. Focus on whole foods, limit processed stuff, and get some regular exercise. It's about overall wellness.

Pranayama and gentle yoga can be very calming for the endocrine system, which includes the thyroid. Practices like Ujjayi breath and Sarvangasana (shoulder stand) are traditionally believed to support thyroid health. It helps with stress too, which is always good.

I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid last year. My doctor put me on medication, but I also made lifestyle changes. Eating fresh, home-cooked food, reducing stress, and moderate exercise made a huge difference in how I felt. It's a combination approach for sure.

Haan, naturally try karna toh accha hai, but doctor ki advice sabse important hai bhai. Kuch log ashwagandha try karte hain, par uska bhi side effect ho sakta hai na. Thoda research karke aur doctor se puchke hi kuch karna.

For underactive thyroid, some people find that eating iodine-rich foods (like seaweed, though be careful not to overdo it) and selenium-rich foods (like brazil nuts, in moderation) can be beneficial. However, it's critical to discuss this with your doctor before making any major dietary changes, especially if you're on medication.
