How to treat sij pain?

I've been experiencing significant pain in my lower back and buttocks, and my physiotherapist mentioned it could be SI joint dysfunction, or sij pain. What treatments are usually recommended for this?

Sacroiliac joint (SIJ) pain is very common but can be really stubborn. Usually, a mix of gentle stretching, pelvic support belts, and avoiding sitting cross-legged helps. But if the pain is severe or shooting down your leg, please consult an orthopedic doctor or a physiotherapist for a proper assessment.

SI joint pain is a total mood killer when you want to stand in long queues for street food! I literally had to sit on a plastic stool just to enjoy my favorite golgappas last week. Make sure you get it checked by a doc so you can stand and walk comfortably again.

I know how terrifying it is when your lower back and hip hurt so much that you can barely walk or roll over in bed; it makes you feel so helpless. Please don't let anxious thoughts take over. With proper diagnosis and gentle physiotherapy, this pain can definitely be managed.

My SI joint decided to act like an old rusty gate last month, creaking every time I stood up! Don't worry, you aren't turning eighty just yet. Get a good physio to show you the right moves, and stop sitting like a folded pretzel on your office chair.

At my age, these joint pains are regular visitors, and I had bad SI joint pain a few years ago. In my experience, rushing to do heavy stretches makes it worse; gentle walks and sleeping with a pillow between your knees help a lot. Do consult a doctor first, and give your body some time to heal.

Before you spend thousands on MRIs and heavy chiropractic sessions, visit a good government hospital's physical medicine department. They can suggest basic exercises and prescribe cheap pelvic belts that work just as well. It is better to plan your medical expenses practically than panic and pay too much.
