How to treat psoriasis on face?

I've started getting some redness and flakiness on my face, especially around my nose and eyebrows, and it's quite embarrassing. My dermatologist suggested it's facial psoriasis. How can I treat psoriasis on my face without irritating it further?

Psoriasis on the face, that's not easy. For us middle-class people, we always look for practical solutions. First, a good skin doctor is a must. They give mild creams. Also, keep your face clean, moisturize well with something simple like Vaseline or basic cream, and avoid harsh soaps. Stress bhi kam karo, that plays a big role.

Psoriasis on the face is tough, it's so visible. You absolutely need a dermatologist for this. They'll likely prescribe very mild topical steroids or non-steroidal creams specific for the face. Don't use anything harsh, and certainly no internet remedies. Sun exposure might help sometimes, but again, check with your doctor.

The face is a window to the soul, and any discomfort there can be very challenging. For psoriasis, seek the wisdom of a medical expert. While medicines work on the body, a calm spirit and positive outlook help the entire being. Practice patience and self-acceptance during this healing journey.

Psoriasis can sometimes be linked to systemic inflammation, which is something I manage with my diabetes. So, while specific facial creams are needed, focusing on an anti-inflammatory diet (less sugar, more fresh foods) might be a supportive step. But for facial skin, a dermatologist's targeted treatment is absolutely crucial. Be very careful with what you apply.

I had facial psoriasis that was so embarrassing. My dermatologist prescribed a mild non-steroid cream called tacrolimus and a very gentle cleanser. He also told me to avoid any harsh scrubs or fragranced products. Sunscreen was also a must. It took a few weeks, but with consistent application, it really cleared up beautifully. Don't lose hope!

Psoriasis on the face is incredibly hard, emotionally. The constant redness and flaking, especially on your face, can make you feel so self-conscious and just want to hide. It's okay to feel down about it. Just remember, it's a medical condition, not a reflection of you. Find a kind dermatologist who understands the emotional impact too.
