How to treat nipple eczema?

I've noticed some itchy, red patches on and around my nipples recently, and it looks like eczema. It's quite uncomfortable and sensitive. What are the best ways to treat nipple eczema?

Hey sweetie, don't stress too much, this is actually super common especially if you are breastfeeding or wearing synthetic bras. Just switch to 100% loose cotton bras and apply a safe, fragrance-free moisturizer after consulting your doctor.

Any skin changes or eczema on the breast or nipple area must be evaluated by a qualified doctor first. It is very important to rule out other dermatological conditions before applying any over-the-counter steroid creams.

I dealt with this last year and it was incredibly painful. Stop using scented body washes or harsh soaps in the shower immediately, as they dry out the skin. A dermatologist prescribed a very mild ointment that cleared it up within a week.

I know this can be very uncomfortable and awkward to talk about. Please wear soft cotton clothes and consult a dermatologist who can guide you with the safest ointment.

I totally get it, the constant itching and burning in such a sensitive spot is so frustrating and stressful. Please see a doctor to get a safe cream, as the skin there is very delicate and needs proper care.
