How to treat nerve pain on top of foot?

For the last few months, I've had this persistent burning and tingling pain right on the top of my left foot. It's worse when I walk a lot or wear certain shoes. Is there any specific way to treat nerve pain on the top of the foot?

That top-of-foot burning is usually footwear compression. Try keeping your laces very loose and see a podiatrist if it doesn't go away.

Boss, first of all, stop wearing tight shoes. Most of the time, the nerve on top of the foot gets pressed because of tight laces or poor footwear. Change your shoes first, and if the tingling stays, see a doctor.

I've been feeling this sharp, needle-like pain right on the top of my left foot whenever I walk. Does anyone else get this? I'm worried it might be some nerve damage, should I get an MRI done?

If you are on your feet all day at work, this nerve pain can get worse. Wear cushioned shoes and avoid crossing your legs at your desk, which restricts blood flow. Book a doctor's visit if you don't see improvement in three days.

At my age, I have realized that foot issues are often related to our posture or footwear choices. I had this exact pain and simply switching to wide-toe orthotic slippers resolved it. Don't worry, just give your feet some breathing room.
