How to treat infant eczema on face?

My 4-month-old baby has developed this red, dry, itchy rash on his cheeks and forehead, which the pediatrician thinks is eczema. It looks very uncomfortable for him. What can I use to treat this infant eczema on his face safely?

I was just reading up on this because my nephew has dry red patches on his cheeks. From what I found, using a very mild, fragrance-free baby moisturizer immediately after bath is super important. But honestly, babies have such sensitive skin, so checking with a doctor is best.

Actually, infant skin is so soft, yaar, you cannot apply normal creams on the face. My doctor suggested a pediatric ceramide cream and strictly told me to avoid perfumed soaps. Try to keep the baby's nails short so they don't scratch and cause infection.

Haan na, seeing those red patches on a small baby's face is very painful. We should not try any home remedies like dahi or haldi on their delicate skin. Just visit a pediatrician or pediatric derm, they will give a safe mild cream.

With our busy routines, we need practical solutions. Buy a cool-mist humidifier for the baby's room to keep the air moist, and stick to a strict 2-minute moisturizing routine after every wash. If it doesn't clear up in a week, book an online consult with a doctor.

When my daughter had facial eczema as a baby, I only washed her face with plain lukewarm water and applied pure coconut oil twice a day. It helped keep her skin moist, but I always consulted her doctor before using any medicated creams.

Caring for a baby's skin issues is a full-time job that leaves parents exhausted. My advice is to stop listening to twenty different relatives' home remedies. Just take the baby to a proper dermatologist and save yourself the stress and sleepless nights.
