How to treat hormonal eczema?

Every month, around my period, my eczema flares up terribly, especially on my neck and hands. My dermatologist mentioned it might be hormonal. Are there any specific treatments for this type of eczema?

Hormonal flares often respond well when we calm our nervous system. Practicing daily pranayama like Anulom Vilom helps balance the internal systems and reduces stress-induced eczema. Combined with a clean diet, it gives gentle, lasting relief.

Just like keeping my blood pressure stable requires regular checkups and low-salt diet, managing hormonal eczema needs routine skin care and doctor visits. Don't ignore it or self-medicate with random steroid creams. Get your hormone levels and thyroid checked properly.

I know how frustrating and depressing it is when your skin flares up right before your cycle and nothing seems to work. It made me want to hide from everyone. Please be gentle with yourself, use basic moisturizers, and talk to both a dermatologist and gynecologist.

Totally agree with focusing on skin barrier repair. Virgin coconut oil works wonders for dry patches, but definitely see a dermatologist for medicated creams.

I have been dealing with hormonal eczema before my periods for years. The trick is to strictly use soap-free cleansers, moisturize with a thick ceramide cream on damp skin, and track your cycle. When you know a flare is coming, avoid hot showers completely.

Beta, with age these hormonal imbalances settle down, so don't lose heart. In our days, we used to apply fresh aloe vera gel or neem-infused water to soothe the itching. Keep your skin hydrated and trust the skin doctors, this phase will pass.

I highly recommend using an app to track your eczema flare-ups alongside your cycle and food intake. You will clearly see the pattern of when your skin acts up. Share this data with your doctor so they can prescribe targeted treatment.
