How to treat hemiplegic migraine?

Look, hemiplegic migraine causes symptoms like one-sided weakness, which mimics a stroke. Do not play around with home remedies or guess. Go to a neurologist immediately and get a proper diagnosis and prescription.

The first time my arm went numb during a migraine, I was so terrified I thought it was a stroke. Has anyone else experienced this terrifying weakness with their migraines, and what did your doctor prescribe to manage it?

Managing stress through light walking or yoga can help prevent general migraine triggers. However, since hemiplegic migraines have neurological symptoms like weakness, please consult a specialist before starting any new routine.

Hemiplegic migraines are quite rare and can be very frightening because of the temporary paralysis. It is absolutely essential to work with a neurologist to get the right preventive medication, as normal migraine drugs might not be safe.

I totally get it, having your body feel weak on one side is extremely scary and overwhelming. Please don't try to manage this alone at home; definitely visit a neurologist to get the right medical guidance and support.
