How to treat fever sores?

I frequently get these painful, fluid-filled blisters around my mouth, which I think are fever sores or cold sores. They take a long time to heal. What are good ways to treat fever sores and help them clear up faster?

Don't spend days waiting for fever sores to heal on their own if you have a busy work schedule. Just ask a pharmacist or doctor for a standard antiviral ointment, apply it early, and it will clear up much faster.

Fever sores or cold sores are viral, so keep the area clean and dry to avoid spreading the infection. You can apply ice wrapped in a cloth to reduce the pain, but do consult a doctor for a proper antiviral cream.

I totally get it, fever sores on the lips can be so painful and make you feel so conscious when talking to people. Try to avoid touching or picking at them, and they should heal up in a few days.

Avoiding spicy and acidic foods like citrus fruits is very helpful when you have active sores, as they can cause severe burning. Stick to simple, cool vegetarian meals and drink lots of water.

Our bodies react to stress and low immunity in different ways. While I focus on a clean routine, I highly suggest letting a doctor look at the sores if they are spreading or taking too long to heal.
