How to treat extreme back pain?

Since my second pregnancy, I've had really bad back pain, especially after standing for a while or doing ghar ka kaam. It's so extreme sometimes that I can barely move. What can I do to relieve this severe back pain?

Beta, if the pain is very severe, please rest on a hard bed and do not lift any heavy buckets. You can apply a little warm mustard oil with garlic, but if the pain does not go, go see a doctor immediately.

A hot water bag can help relax the stiff muscles, but please do not try any deep massages for extreme pain. If the pain shoots down your leg or you feel numbness, you must go to a hospital right away.

Extreme back pain can be a sign of a herniated disc or nerve compression, which home remedies can easily worsen. Do not let any local masseuse touch your spine; get an MRI and consult an orthopedic specialist.

I tried everything from herbal balms to heat pads, but honestly, only physical therapy and core strengthening worked for my chronic back pain. Don't waste time on temporary fixes if the pain is constant.

My teenager had severe back pain from carrying heavy school bags and poor posture. We started her on gentle swimming and got her a better ergonomic chair, which made a huge difference in a few weeks.

When my back pain became unbearable, I went to a top hospital and got a clear diagnosis instead of guessing. Ask your doctor clearly about physical therapy options and what posture habits you need to change.

I set an hourly posture reminder on my smartwatch to make sure I stand up and stretch. Doing simple hamstring stretches and tracking my daily steps really helped reduce my lower back tightness significantly.
