Please go see an ENT specialist immediately instead of putting any home oils inside. I ignored a minor earache last winter, and it turned into a middle ear infection that ruptured my eardrum. It was incredibly painful and took months of treatment to heal.

I know how miserable an earache can make you feel, you can't even sleep properly. For temporary relief, a warm compress works wonders, but please don't drop any warm mustard oil or garlic oil inside, as that can worsen the inflammation. Get an OTC painkiller if it's unbearable.

I have dealt with chronic ear issues for years. Elevating your head with an extra pillow when you sleep helps drain the fluid pressure in the ear, reducing the pain. Also, never use cotton buds to clean your ears as they only push the wax deeper and cause infections.

Hey dear, don't stress too much, it might just be due to some cold or sinus blockage. Try taking some steam with mint or eucalyptus oil, as it really helps open up the Eustachian tube. If it doesn't get better by tomorrow, just consult a doctor.

While you seek medical advice, you can do gentle deep breathing to help manage the throbbing sensation. Applying a warm, dry compress using a heated towel around the outer ear can also help soothe the surrounding muscles and nerves naturally.

An earache is the worst because you can't even chew your favorite food without pain! Stick to warm, soft foods like khichdi or comforting soups for now so your jaw doesn't have to work too hard, and get a doctor to look inside with an otoscope.

Does anyone else feel a sharp pain in their jaw and temple along with the earache? I am really worried if it's a dental issue or some nerve problem. Please share if you had similar symptoms.
