How to treat childhood eczema?

My younger sister, who is 5, has had eczema since she was a baby. It flares up often, and the itching really disturbs her sleep. We've tried many creams but are looking for more effective ways to treat her childhood eczema.

For kids with eczema, sweat can often trigger bad flare-ups during outdoor play. Make sure they wear loose cotton clothes and take a quick lukewarm shower right after they finish playing. Always apply a good doctor-approved moisturizer immediately after bathing.

My niece was just diagnosed with this and we are quite confused. Is it true that certain fabrics like wool or polyester can trigger it? We are currently searching for the best mild moisturizers, if anyone has recommendations please do share.

Haan, skin allergies in kids can be really irritating for them, na. Keep their nails trimmed short so they don't scratch and cause an infection. Aur bath time bilkul short rakho, heavy rubbing mat karna towel se.

Sometimes certain food allergies like dairy or nuts can trigger eczema flare-ups in young kids. It is best to maintain a food diary to notice if the itching worsens after eating specific items. Please consult a pediatric allergist before cutting out any major food groups from your child's diet.

I had severe eczema growing up. Honestly, what worked best for me was avoiding hot baths and switching to fragrance-free baby soap. If the itching gets really bad at night, you should ask their doctor for a mild antihistamine syrup to help them sleep.

Haan na, seeing the child scratch their skin till it bleeds is so painful. Actually, we must use very mild soap and keep applying heavy moisturizer throughout the day, ho na? Don't use any scented lotions, they make the itching worse.

I completely panicked when my baby got red, scaly patches all over her cheeks and legs. But the dermatologist assured me it is very common and usually gets better as kids grow up. Regular moisturizing and using the prescribed mild steroid cream during flare-ups worked like a charm.
