How to train yourself to sleep on your back?

I've been told by my doctor that sleeping on my back would be better for my posture and breathing. The problem is I always turn to my side. What are some practical tips to train myself to consistently sleep on my back?

Honestly, it is just muscle memory. Put heavy pillows on both your sides so you cannot roll over even if you try during the night. It will feel super annoying for the first week, but then your body just gets used to it.

I used to struggle with this too. Placing a small, soft pillow under my knees really helped relieve the lower back pressure. Take your time, it happens slowly.

Try the pillow fortress trick! Put one under your knees and one on each side to lock yourself in. It actually works like magic and feels quite cozy too!

Beta, sleeping on the back is very good for the spine. Try drinking a warm glass of haldi milk before bed so your body is relaxed and you do not toss and turn so much.

My mother always told me to use a very flat pillow for the head if sleeping on the back, otherwise the neck starts aching. But please check with your doctor once if you are doing this to cure any existing back pain.

Yaar, don't stress too much about it if you keep waking up on your side. It takes time to break old habits. Just keep a pillow under your knees when you lie down initially, and let your body adjust naturally.

My son had to do this because of his posture issues. We got him a special cervical pillow that has a dip in the middle. It naturally keeps your head aligned and stops you from rolling over easily.

I actually trained myself to do this last year to prevent sleep wrinkles. What worked for me was using a slightly heavy blanket because the weight keeps you tucked in one place. Just be patient with yourself.
