How to test your thyroid gland?

My cousin just found out she has a thyroid problem, and her symptoms sound a lot like what I've been experiencing. What specific tests are done to properly evaluate the thyroid gland's function?

To test the thyroid, a blood test for T3, T4, and TSH is necessary. I try to eat a balanced diet with proper iodized salt, but food alone cannot fix or test hormone levels. Do get a proper lab test done.

I was gaining weight and blaming my love for sweet sandesh, but my mom made me test my thyroid. You just need to give a blood sample for a thyroid profile. Thankfully mine was normal, so I can go back to blaming the sweets!

If you are feeling unusually tired or gaining weight despite regular workouts, it is good to check your thyroid. Go for a thyroid blood panel. It is a quick test and helps you understand your metabolic health better.

Don't overcomplicate this. Just book a Thyroid Profile test from any standard lab like SRL or Dr Lal PathLabs. They will draw blood and give you the results online. That's the only real way to test your gland.

Honestly, I thought my extreme fatigue was just from binge-watching shows till 3 AM, but my doctor made me get a thyroid test. Turns out it is just a simple blood test. Get it done so you can rule out any actual medical reasons for feeling like a zombie!
