How to test fever without thermometer?

My little one is feeling warm since morning, but I can't find our thermometer anywhere. Is there any easy way to check if it's a proper fever or just a bit of heat without it?

Haha, without a thermometer, it's basically the 'Amma Touch' method! Just ask your mom or wife to put their hand on your forehead. Works 99% of the time, better than any gadget sometimes! 😂 But seriously, if you feel properly unwell, thermometer is best na.

Oh, that's a good question. I sometimes just feel really hot and don't know if it's fever or just hot weather. I usually just check if my head feels warm to touch. Is there any other way to tell for sure without a thermometer?

Hello! While a thermometer gives an exact reading, you can get a good idea if you feel body aches, chills, or generally very tired. Also, your forehead might feel hotter than usual to touch, and your eyes might feel heavy. Best to get a thermometer if you can, just to be sure.

Hey! Usually when I feel off, I notice my energy levels drop significantly, and my body feels warm. If that happens, I know it's time to rest up and maybe skip the gym. Focus on hydration and good food, don't push yourself if u feel feverish.

Namaste. When the body temperature is high, you might feel internal heat, a lack of enthusiasm, and sometimes even a slight headache. Your skin will feel warm to touch, especially on the forehead and neck. Just observe your body, it tells you a lot. But for exact measure, a thermometer is always good to have ghar pe.

Mere saath bhi hota hai sometimes. I just feel weak and a bit confused. I immediately know it's not normal. For me, it's always important to monitor any changes, especially with my BP. So I just use a thermometer, it's a small investment for peace of mind. If you suspect fever, better to check it properly.

Honestly, for me, if my appetite goes down and food doesn't taste good, I know something's up! Normally I'm always thinking about my next meal, so if even my favorite biryani doesn't tempt me, it's probably fever calling. 😂 But yeah, get a thermometer if you can, much easier!

Please don't ignore it, even if you don't have a thermometer. I once thought it was just tiredness, didn't check, and ended up with a really bad viral. If you feel feverish, best to assume it is and take rest. If it doesn't go away in a day or two, pls see a doctor, don't make my mistake.
