I totally get it, sometimes it's confusing! For me, a fever usually starts with body aches and chills even before my head feels hot. My whole body just feels kinda heavy and lethargic. Then the thermometer confirms it, of course.
Beta, if you feel weak, your head is warm, and you have no energy, it could be fever. Take a warm bath and drink some hot ginger tea. If it doesn't get better in a day or two, then you should see the doctor. Always measure with a thermometer though, that's important.
Honestly, I always just put my hand on my forehead lol. But seriously, apart from feeling hot, I also notice my eyes feel kinda heavy and watery, and sometimes a slight headache starts. Then I know it's time to check with the thermometer. It's so confusing sometimes!
Best to always check with a thermometer, don't just rely on how you feel. Sometimes you might have a low-grade fever and not even realise it until you measure. If it's consistently high or you have other symptoms, please get it checked by a doctor for safety.

From my experience, when a fever is coming, my energy feels very low, and I feel restless but also tired. My breath also feels a bit heavier, like the body is trying to fight something. Listening to your body is key, and if the discomfort is strong, check temperature and rest.
