How to tell if you have a kidney infection?

Been having some pain in my lower back and feeling a bit off recently, also more frequent urination. Someone told me it could be a kidney infection. What are the common symptoms I should be looking out for?

Honestly, kidney infections are serious. Please don't try to self-diagnose based on symptoms you read online. Best to just go to a doctor, get proper tests done, and confirm. Random internet remedies can be dangerous.

My doctor explained that kidney infections, or pyelonephritis, usually start as a UTI that moves up. Key symptoms include lower back pain (often one-sided), fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, and painful urination. They stressed not to delay treatment as it can lead to serious complications.

Bro, my friend had this. He was getting really bad back pain, like super severe, and he had a fever that wouldn't go. Plus, he felt like throwing up all the time. Turns out it was kidney infection. Doctor gave him meds and he was fine.

See, going to the doctor immediately might seem expensive, but early diagnosis saves a lot more in the long run than letting it get worse. A basic urine test isn't too much, and it's the first step. Don't wait until the pain is unbearable.

Well, normally for general health, I prefer home remedies, but kidney infection is not something to take lightly. If you have severe pain, high fever, or if you feel very sick, please, please go to a doctor right away. Hydration is important, but only after proper diagnosis.

Common signs are a fever, back pain usually on one side (flank pain), and burning sensation when you pee. You might also feel nauseous or generally unwell. If you have these, especially with a fever, definitely see a GP. They'll probably do a urine test first.

Beta, if you have severe pain near your back, high fever and feel very weak, don't just think it's a normal cold. Kidney problems are serious. Drink plenty of water but you must also show it to a good doctor. Dadi ke nuskhe are fine for small things, but not for this.

For us diabetics, any infection, especially kidney-related, needs quick attention because it can affect blood sugar levels. Keep an eye out for fever or any change in urination. And always consult your doctor, don't try self-treating, especially with remedies that might have sugar.

Identifying a kidney infection early is crucial. Look for symptoms like persistent back or side pain, fever, chills, and painful or frequent urination. While these are indicators, only a medical professional can give an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. So, a doctor's visit is non-negotiable here.
