How to tell if you have a fever without thermometer?
My thermometer broke and the baby is feeling hot to touch. Is there any way to figure out if it's a proper fever without an actual thermometer? Just need to know if I should rush to the doctor.

I know how frustrating it is when you feel burning hot but don't have a thermometer to check. Usually, if your back or stomach feels much hotter than your hands, or if you feel shivering and weak, it's a fever. Please take care and buy a digital thermometer as soon as you can.
My mother used to check by pressing the back of her hand against my forehead or neck. If it feels significantly warmer than usual, and you have body aches with cold chills, you likely have a fever. But please buy a thermometer from a local chemist for an accurate check.
Hey, don't stress too much. If your eyes feel super heavy, your cheeks are flushed, and you are shivering under a blanket, you definitely have a fever. Try to rest, drink plenty of water, and ask a flatmate to grab a thermometer for you.
You can touch your chest or back; if they feel burning hot compared to your hands, a fever is likely. Applying a cool, damp cloth on your forehead helps bring down the heat. However, if you feel very weak or the heat doesn't go down, please see a doctor.
If you are wrapping yourself in a blanket in the middle of a Mumbai summer, congratulations, you have a fever! Jokes apart, feeling flushed, having dry lips, and shivering are clear signs. Just order a cheap thermometer online to be sure.

Honestly, if your forehead feels like a hot tawa and you are shivering despite the fan being off, you have a fever. My sleep-deprived brain usually confuses fatigue with fever, but the intense body ache is a dead giveaway. Go get some rest.
