How to tell if you had a mini stroke?

My blood pressure has been a bit high lately, and yesterday I felt a sudden weakness on one side of my body that lasted only for a short time. My wife is very worried about a mini stroke. What are the signs to tell if I might have had a mini stroke?

Our bodies communicate with us in very subtle ways. If you felt a sudden, temporary numbness in your face or arm, or had brief difficulty speaking clearly, please do not ignore it. These are serious warning signs, and you must consult a doctor immediately.

This is very serious. If you or anyone else experienced sudden, temporary weakness on one side of the body or a brief slurring of words, please go to the hospital right away. Do not wait to see if it happens again; get medical help immediately.

A mini stroke, or TIA, typically causes sudden weakness in an arm or leg, facial drooping, or difficulty speaking that resolves within 24 hours. Because it is a major warning sign of a full stroke, please get evaluated at an emergency department immediately.

If you notice a sudden, temporary loss of balance or trouble seeing in one eye, please stay calm but act quickly. It is very important to visit a doctor or hospital immediately to get checked.

I had this weird, sudden numbness in my left hand yesterday that went away in ten minutes, and now I am so scared. Did anyone else experience this brief numbness before getting diagnosed? Please tell me if I should go to the hospital immediately.

Do not waste time looking for home remedies or advice online for neurological symptoms. If you had temporary numbness, slurred speech, or dizziness, go to a neurologist immediately. This requires proper hospital scans, not internet guesswork.
