How to tell if u have cavities?

I've noticed some dark spots on my teeth recently, and sometimes I feel a sharp pain when eating something sweet. I brush regularly, but I'm still worried. How can I tell if I have cavities, or if it's just staining?

My grandmother used to say if your mouth smells bad even after brushing, something is wrong inside. But honestly, you cannot always see them yourself until they get big. Best is to visit a good dentist once in six months for a quick checkup.

I have been feeling this weird throbbing ache in my lower jaw since last week, is that how it starts? I am so scared of dental drills. Did anyone else have pain that comes and goes before finding out it was a cavity?

Haan, if food is constantly getting stuck in the same spot, that's a big clue na. You might not see the black spot easily, but you will feel it. Better to go to a clinic and get an X-ray done, simple process hai.

Because of my diabetes, I have to be extremely careful with dental health as infections can spread fast. If I feel even a tiny rough edge with my tongue, I run to the dentist. Please don't ignore dental pain, it affects your overall health.

Don't stress too much about it, but do check if your teeth feel sensitive when you drink cold water or hot tea. If there is a sharp pinch, it might be a small cavity starting. Just book a quick dental consult before it starts hurting constantly.

I noticed my cavity when sweet things like jaggery started giving me a sudden, sharp pain on one side. If you feel any discomfort while chewing normal food, it is a sign. Avoid sticky sweets for now and get a dentist to look at it.

My daughter had no pain at all, but I noticed a tiny dark shadow on her molar while she was laughing. The dentist said cavities can hide between teeth easily. Check your teeth closely in bright light, and get them checked if you see any discoloration.

For mild sensitivity, warm salt water rinses help clean the mouth nicely. But if you see black or brown spots on your teeth, home remedies won't fix that. You really need to see a dentist to get it cleaned and filled properly.
