How to tell if it's eczema or athlete's foot?

I have these itchy red patches between my toes and on my feet, and they sometimes crack. My friend said it could be athlete's foot, but it also looks a bit like the eczema my nephew has. How can I differentiate between the two conditions?

Eczema usually looks like red, very itchy, dry patches, and can be anywhere on the body. Athlete's foot is typically between the toes or on the soles, often looks scaly, red, and might blister, and it's a fungal infection. I'd try some natural anti-fungal things like tea tree oil if it's athlete's foot, but if it doesn't clear or spreads, please see a doctor.

Honestly, after chasing my toddler all day, if my foot is itchy, I just assume it's something I stepped in or didn't wash off properly! But seriously, if it's peeling and red between toes, likely athlete's foot. Eczema is more like dry, cracked patches anywhere. My brain is too fried for medical diagnostics, pls consult a doc.

Don't worry too much, but observe carefully. Athlete's foot generally sticks to your feet, especially between the toes, and often has a distinct odor, sometimes with peeling or blisters. Eczema can appear anywhere and is more about dry, inflamed, itchy patches. If in doubt, just get a doctor to look at it, okay?

I totally get it, skin issues are so annoying and hard to figure out! Athlete's foot usually starts between the toes, is itchy, scaly, and might have a bad smell. Eczema is more general dryness, redness, and intense itching that can be anywhere. The location and specific appearance are key differences.

I've read up on this for a project. Athlete's foot is a fungal infection, so it typically appears on the feet, often causing itching, burning, and scaling, sometimes with blisters. Eczema is a chronic skin condition causing dry, red, itchy patches that can occur anywhere on the body. Location is a major clue.

Be very careful! I once dismissed a persistent itch on my foot, thinking it was just dry skin, and it got severely infected. Athlete's foot is a fungus and needs antifungal treatment. Eczema is an inflammatory condition. The symptoms might look similar, but the treatment is different. Please don't self-diagnose; see a doctor to avoid complications.

My feet are usually just tired after running errands, but if they start itching like crazy, I know something's up! Athlete's foot usually smells bad, has cracks or blisters between toes, and looks like a tiny desert. Eczema is more like dry, red patches anywhere else. Honestly, at my age, everything just aches, so good luck differentiating! But do see a doc.

Oh god, I always worry about every rash! If it's on my feet and peeling, I think athlete's foot. But if it's anywhere else and super dry and red, then I think eczema. It's so hard to know for sure. I hope whatever it is, it's not too bad and clears up quickly for you.

Don't fall for every home remedy you read online for this. Eczema is an inflammatory skin condition, while athlete's foot is a fungal infection. They need completely different treatments. If you try the wrong thing, you can make it worse. Get a proper diagnosis from a doctor, always.

It can be confusing, but athlete's foot usually has more of a wet, peeling look, especially between the toes. Eczema usually looks drier and more inflamed. Hope you figure it out soon.

With my high BP, I'm always advised to keep an eye on all health signals. For skin issues, athlete's foot typically affects your feet, making the skin red, itchy, and sometimes peeling, especially between the toes. Eczema can be anywhere and is more about chronic dry, itchy patches. If you're unsure, a quick visit to the dermatologist will clear it up. Don't ignore it.

I once thought I had some horrible skin disease because my foot was itching and peeling, and I panicked! Turns out it was just athlete's foot from wearing sweaty shoes. Eczema, for me, is usually very dry, scaly patches that can appear anywhere. Athlete's foot is localized to the feet, sometimes with a distinctive smell. Don't jump to conclusions, but do get it checked.
