How to tell if heart attack is coming?

My father passed away from a heart attack, and I sometimes feel a strange sensation in my chest. I have diabetes and high BP, so I worry a lot. Are there any early signs that a heart attack is about to happen?

This is a very serious question. As someone managing diabetes, I'm always advised to be vigilant. Symptoms like chest pain (pressure, tightness), shortness of breath, pain in the arm or jaw, cold sweat, nausea are red flags. Don't ever hesitate, call for medical help immediately. Lifestyle changes, including diet and sugar control, are important for prevention too.

Key signs to look out for are central chest discomfort (pressure, squeezing, fullness, or pain) that lasts more than a few minutes, or comes and goes. This can spread to the shoulder, arm, back, neck, jaw, or stomach. Shortness of breath, cold sweats, nausea, or lightheadedness can also accompany it. If you experience these, call 102/108 or go to the nearest emergency room pronto.

Please, if you even suspect something, don't waste a second. I ignored what I thought was just indigestion once, and it led to major complications. Symptoms can be varied: chest discomfort, pain spreading to arm/back/jaw, breathlessness, sweating. Call emergency services immediately. Time is critical.

It's scary to think about, I know. But if you feel any sudden chest pressure, pain spreading to other areas, or severe breathlessness, please get medical help immediately. Don't try to wait it out.

I've researched this so many times just out of curiosity, it's good to know. The common symptoms are chest pain or discomfort, often described as pressure or squeezing, and it might radiate to your left arm, jaw, or back. Also, shortness of breath, sweating, or nausea are important signs. It's better to be aware and act quickly if needed.

With my schedule, I feel like a heart attack is always coming, lol! But seriously, if your chest feels like an elephant is sitting on it, or you can't breathe, and you're sweating like you just ran a marathon in summer, then it's not a joke. Drop everything and get to the hospital. Don't be like me and think 'just five more minutes of sleep'.
