How to tell difference between panic attack and heart attack?

I've had a few episodes where I suddenly feel intense fear, my heart races, and I struggle to breathe. My cousin said it could be a panic attack, but I'm always scared it might be a heart problem. What are the key differences between a panic attack and a heart attack?

As someone managing high blood pressure, I learned that a heart attack usually causes a crushing pressure in the chest that can spread to the arm, jaw, or back, along with cold sweats. A panic attack can feel incredibly real with a racing heart, but it is often triggered by sudden stress. Please get your BP and heart health checked regularly by a doctor to stay safe.

It is incredibly scary because the symptoms feel so similar. Please don't take any chances and get medical help immediately if you are unsure.

My smart watch showed my heart rate spiking during a panic attack, but my breathing app helped me calm down and bring it back to normal. With a heart attack, the chest pain is persistent and won't subside with breathing exercises. If you experience radiating pain or extreme shortness of breath, go to an emergency room right away.

A panic attack is often our mind reacting to deep emotional overload, and practicing quiet meditation can help soothe the spirit. However, physical symptoms like severe chest pain must never be ignored. Stay positive, keep your mind calm, but please consult a doctor to protect your physical health.

Drinking warm water and practicing slow breathing can help if it is just a nervous panic attack. But if you feel a heavy squeezing pain in your chest along with sudden dizziness or nausea, do not wait for any home remedy to work. Please go to a hospital immediately.

I was reading about this online because my friend had a scare recently. Apparently, a panic attack usually subsides within 20 to 30 minutes, whereas heart attack symptoms continue to escalate and are a major medical emergency. It's so tricky to tell them apart on your own.
