How to take thyroid medication properly?

My new doctor just prescribed thyroid medication and I'm a bit confused. My previous doctor had me taking it differently. What's the right way to take it for best results, like before food or after?

I have been managing hypothyroidism for six years now. You must take it with plain water on an empty stomach at least 45 minutes before breakfast. Make sure you get your blood tested every 3 months and follow up with your doctor to adjust the dose.

Actually, don't mix your thyroid pill with other supplements like calcium, yaar. It completely ruins the absorption. Keep a gap of at least 4 hours between them.

I keep my thyroid tablet on my bedside table with a water bottle. Pop it the second the alarm goes off, and by the time I finish my emails and get ready for the office, my 45-minute fasting gap is done. Simple and efficient.

Take it daily at the same time in the morning on an empty stomach with plain water. This is the only correct way.

Beta, always take this small medicine early morning with a glass of clean water. Don't eat anything with it, not even a single biscuit, otherwise it won't benefit your body. Take care of your health, everything will be fine.

Haan, subah khali pet lena sabse zaroori hai, tabhi medicine sahi se kaam karegi na. Coffee ya chai toh kam se kam ek ghante baad hi peena. Regular test karana mat bhoolna, dose badalti rehti hai.

Along with taking your pill properly on an empty stomach, try to include 30 minutes of light exercise like brisk walking daily. It really helps boost your metabolism, which thyroid issues can slow down. Check with your doctor if it's okay for you.
