How to take apart a sleep number bed?

We recently moved and need to shift our Sleep Number bed, but it's quite complicated. I'm trying to figure out how to take apart a Sleep Number bed properly so we can transport it without damaging anything. Any instructions or tips would be super helpful!

Taking it apart is quite easy! 🛏️ Just make sure you completely deflate the air chambers first using the remote control. Then unzip the mattress cover and gently disconnect the air hoses. Hope this helps you pack it easily! ✨

I was so worried we would break the expensive pump when we were shifting houses! But it is actually very simple once you deflate the mattress. Just label the left and right air hoses so you don't get confused when setting it up again.

The step-by-step disassembly guide is usually available on their official app or website. Start by unplugging the firmness control system from the wall outlet after fully deflating the air beds. Keep all the small plastic connector caps in a ziplock bag so you don't lose them.

These modern beds with pipes and remotes can be very confusing for us. When my nephew was moving his bed, he made sure to keep the manual handy and did everything slowly. Be very careful with your back while lifting these heavy parts, and apply a warm mustard oil massage if you feel any strain.

It can feel really stressful when you have to dismantle heavy or complex things, especially if you have back pain like me. Just take it slow, do not lift the heavy base alone, and ask a family member to help you disconnect the pump hoses safely.

You don't need to pay professional packers high fees for this. Just deflate the mattress completely, unplug the pump, and carefully pull out the air hoses. Wrap the pump and remote in bubble wrap separately, and the rest is just like a normal wooden or metal bed frame.
