How to take a fever down?

My little one has a high fever right now, and I'm trying to get it down. We've given him paracetamol. What are some other safe ways to help bring a child's fever down at home? Any ghar pe remedies that work?

Please rest well, drink plenty of warm water, and let your body recover slowly.

When you have a fever, watch out for any liquid remedies like sweetened juices as they can spike your glucose levels. Stick to plain water or warm vegetable soups, and consult your doctor for safe medication.

Keep a regular temperature log using a digital thermometer every few hours. If a standard paracetamol dose prescribed by your doctor doesn't lower it within a few hours, seek immediate medical advice.

I totally get it, shivering and feeling cold makes you want to cover up in thick blankets. But try to use a light sheet instead to let your body heat escape, and rest as much as you can.

I get so panicked when the thermometer reads above 101, my mind starts racing with worst-case scenarios. Does anyone else struggle to stay calm when their body temperature spikes suddenly?

I just take a paracetamol that my doc prescribed, put a damp cloth on my forehead, and try to sleep it off. Don't take chilled drinks or turn down the AC too low.
