How to survive cirrhosis of the liver?

My brother has been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, and the doctors have given us a lot of information, but it's hard to process. We are looking for more support and understanding. How can one survive cirrhosis of the liver, and what does that journey look like?

My cousin has been managing his condition through strict medication and gentle pranayama like Anulom Vilom to keep stress away. It really helps calm the mind and body, but please remember to do everything very gently and only under your doctor's supervision.

I was just reading up on this because my uncle was diagnosed recently and it looks like stopping alcohol completely is the absolute first step. Is it true that a low-sodium diet is also super important to prevent fluid buildup?

Listen, liver cirrhosis is a serious medical issue and you cannot treat it at home with random detox juices. Go straight to a good gastroenterologist, get a fibroscan done, and strictly follow the medical plan they give you.

I get so worried when I see the swelling in my feet, it makes me feel like my condition is getting worse every day. Does anyone else here deal with this constant anxiety about fluid retention and liver health?

Trying to sleep with all this digestive discomfort and doctor-ordered diet changes is a nightmare, honestly. But jokes aside, my doc said skipping medication even for a single day is a huge risk, so I just follow his prescription blindly now.
