My son had severe vomiting during food poisoning and his throat was burning badly due to stomach acid. I gave him small sips of cold milk and it immediately calmed the burn. Just don't let them gulp it down too fast.

No need to buy expensive syrups. Just mix a spoon of honey in lukewarm water and sip it slowly, or chew a small piece of mishri (rock sugar). It coats the lining of your throat and stops the acid irritation instantly.

I get bad acid reflux after vomiting. The best way is to rinse your mouth thoroughly first with plain water to remove the acid, then drink half a glass of cold water. Avoid hot tea or coffee for at least 5-6 hours after this.

Hey, don't worry, the burning is just because of the stomach acid that came up. Rinse your mouth, sit upright, and have some cold water or vanilla ice cream if you have it. It will soothe your food pipe in no time.

Your body has gone through a lot of exertion, so rest quietly now. Drink some cool coconut water slowly to bring peace to your stomach and throat. Take care and let your body heal gently.
