My skin got extremely sensitive and prone to burning easily when my thyroid medication dose was incorrect. While you soothe the burn with cold compresses, maybe get a routine blood test if your skin issues are frequent. Always consult your doctor if the skin starts blistering.

Whenever I track my outdoor runs, I log my sun exposure too. For immediate sunburn relief, I highly recommend using pure aloe vera gel kept in the fridge. Also, track your hydration levels today, your body needs extra water to heal damaged skin.

Applying fresh cucumber juice or a cold milk compress cools the heat of the body instantly. Along with this, practice some gentle Sheetali pranayama to cool your system from within. Let nature heal the inflamed skin slowly without harsh chemicals.

I have this horrible burning sensation after yesterday's beach trip and it's turning very red. Did anyone else get minor chills along with sunburn? Please tell me how long this painful burning takes to go away completely.

With my PCOS, my skin is already hyper-reactive, so I avoid any fancy scented creams on burns. Stick to basic cold water wipes and plain aloe gel. If the pain gets too intense or if you feel dizzy, please show it to a doctor instead of trying home tips.

That throbbing, hot skin feeling is genuinely miserable and makes it impossible to sleep. Don't worry, the worst of the pain usually subsides in 24 to 48 hours. Try taking a cool shower and wear very loose cotton clothes to avoid friction.
