How to stop slobbering in your sleep?
I've noticed that sometimes I drool quite a lot in my sleep, and it leaves a wet spot on the pillow. It feels a bit unhygienic and embarrassing. Is there a way to stop slobbering in your sleep?

Actually, I also have this embarrassing problem of drooling on my pillow every night and feel so shy about it. Does sleeping on your back instead of your side really help to stop it? I would love to know what worked for others.
Slobbering usually happens when you breathe through your mouth instead of your nose, often due to nasal congestion or allergies. Try using a saline nasal spray before bed to clear your sinuses. If it persists, it could be a sign of sleep apnea, so getting it checked by an ENT doctor is a good idea.
I was just reading about this online yesterday because my brother does it a lot. It turns out that some sleeping positions and even certain foods can trigger excess saliva production. Changing the pillow height might also make a difference in keeping your mouth closed.
Honestly, just switch from side-sleeping to sleeping on your back, it prevents the saliva from pooling and escaping. Also, make sure you are not dehydrated because that actually makes saliva thicker. It's a very common issue, so no need to feel weird about it.
