How to stop shivering fever?

My child has a fever and sometimes starts shivering uncontrollably, even though she has a high temperature. It's very scary to watch. What should I do to stop a shivering fever?

Honestly, please don't sit at home trying to stop the shivering on your own. I once ignored a shivering fever thinking it was normal flu, and it turned into a severe kidney infection that took weeks to cure. Go see a doctor today and get proper blood tests done before it gets worse.

Beta, don't worry too much, high fever often comes with heavy shivering as the body fights back. When my kids had this, I used to put a warm blanket on them but avoided turning on the AC or fan directly. Just take a simple paracetamol if you have one at home, but do consult your doctor if the shivering doesn't stop in a few hours.

This is so scary, I get super anxious whenever my body starts shivering during a fever. Try to keep yourself warm with a light blanket and sip some lukewarm water slowly. Please check your temperature with a thermometer and call a doc immediately if it's touching 102 or 103, stay safe.

I totally get it, that extreme shivering makes you feel so weak and restless. Actually, when my husband had viral fever last month, we kept a warm water bottle near his feet to help him relax. Just keep yourself covered and rest, but definitely get a doctor to check you if it continues.

Hey, don't stress too much, just wear some warm socks and cover yourself up for now. Let your body rest, don't try to do any work or look at screens. If the fever is too high, just call your family doc or visit a local clinic quickly, okay? Get well soon buddy.
