Scratching that itchy scalp in public looks like we are solving a complex math puzzle in our head, honestly! To get some quick relief, a cool compress or a damp cool towel wrapped around the head works like a charm. But don't scratch with your nails unless you want a snowstorm on your shoulders; use a doctor's prescribed lotion instead.

I noticed my scalp flares up and itches way more when my stress levels are high. Doing light morning walks or yoga has helped me manage stress, which indirectly kept my psoriasis in control. Of course, always check with your dermatologist for targeted medicated coal tar shampoos to use during a flare-up.

Be very careful not to peel or pick at the thick scales on your scalp, as I did that and ended up with a painful secondary bacterial infection and temporary hair loss. If the itching is intense and causing bleeding, please visit a dermatologist immediately. They might need to prescribe steroid drops or specific scalp applications.

At this age, my joints creak and my scalp acts like a dry desert, thanks to psoriasis. Applying a bit of pure virgin coconut oil very gently helps soften the crust and calms the itching for a few hours. But let's be real, only the dermatologist's medicated shampoo keeps the peace in the long run.

Look, do not use random fancy cosmetic shampoos thinking they will cure psoriasis, they will only irritate your scalp more with their perfumes. Get a proper coal tar or salicylic acid shampoo prescribed by a skin doctor. Use cold water to wash your hair, as hot water makes the itching ten times worse.

Humare yahan toh thodi neem ki patti ko paani mein ubaal kar, us thande paani se sir dhone se khujli mein thodi rahat milti hai. Lekin skin ke doctor babu ko dikhana sabse zaroori hai. Vo jo dawai lagane ko dein, use samay par lagayein.

I totally understand how annoying and embarrassing scalp itching can be, especially when you are out. I always keep my hair damp with a soothing aloe vera gel or a prescribed lotion during severe itching phases. Try to avoid hair dryers and harsh styling products completely as they dry out the scalp further.
