How to stop mouth pain?

Since yesterday, I've had a dull ache in my mouth, almost like a soreness everywhere inside. Eating is becoming difficult and even talking feels weird. What can I do to stop this general mouth pain?

I had severe mouth pain last month due to an wisdom tooth issue. For temporary relief, doing warm saltwater rinses three times a day worked wonders for me. But don't delay going to a dentist because if it is an infection, it won't go away on its own.

Mouth pain can be due to anything from a simple ulcer to a deep dental infection or gum disease. Please don't try applying random homemade pastes or taking over-the-counter painkillers without knowing the cause. Get a proper clinical exam done by a certified dentist to find out what is actually wrong.

I recently had a sharp, burning mouth pain and immediately started worrying it was something terrible. It turned out to be just a nasty canker sore caused by accidental biting and stress. A simple soothing gel prescribed by my dentist cleared it up in a few days, so try not to stress too much.

Mouth pain is literally the worst because you can't even enjoy your favorite food. When I got my braces tightened and my mouth was super sore, cold milkshakes and ice cream were my absolute lifesavers. Definitely go get it checked by a dentist if the pain doesn't go away in a day or two.

I know how uncomfortable and irritating mouth pain can be, making it hard to even drink water. For now, stick to very soft, bland foods and avoid anything too hot, spicy, or acidic that might irritate your mouth further. Please book an appointment with a dentist tomorrow so they can take care of you properly.
